Coastie Report
This is the season for Coastie Requests but because the statement concerning insurance worries this past January I’m afraid that Coasties’ are at a stand still.

I checked with my Insurance carrier and I was told that so long as this was not a business trailer, I was covered for my automobile. The trailer and its contents were not covered but that was always the case.

I would suggest that all Coastie operators check with their Insurance carriers and check on the viability of pulling Coasties’ trailer and it’s contents. Remember the statement was not meant as a prohibition against the use of Coastie, but rather a warning that you may not be covered. The operative word is MAY not be covered. Just remember all you need to use Coastie is someone that knows how to operate the unit and a 2” trailer hitch.

A report from each of the Coastie Vice-Chairman on the condition of their units finds them all in good shape with the exception of the unit in ActivityNY South. I have no idea when this will be back in operation but we will try to keep you posted.

Coastie appeared on television on Saturday, May 29th at the Intrepid and NBC Television on Saturday the 12th of June at Riverfest in Secaucus, NJ.

I will, by the time you read this have available a new “Non-Reimbursable Orders” for use with Coastie and his travels. It is imperative that anyone moving Coastie have a current copy of this document in their possession. Should anything happen and you do not have the non-reimbursable orders in your possession there will be no coverage for your travels.

It is important for all of the Coastie Vice-Chairmen to let me know when and if they are in need of anything relating to Coastie such as repairs or supplies.

Remember Coastie says, “Have a safe day”.

Coastie wishes all a good day
