* OPSAIL 2000 CT was a great success due to the efforts of team Coast Guard. Auxiliarist not only from Division 25 and District one, but from all over the country participated. I thank all those that participated in New London and in back fill positions allowing Coast Guard regulars to be on hand. * We had a Change of Command at Station New London. A number of auxiliarist from the Division were on hand filling the ranks. LT Vincent Patterson relieved LCDR Steve Sheridan. Following the Change of Command LCDR Steve Sheridan retired from the Coast Guard. * Eagle has returned to the Academy from its summer cruise. * VSC program needs work at the District level, we need to get more decals out to the examiners. You can't expect people to do VSC's if they can't get enough decals out of district. More are available now, but the time has passed and we have missed the opportunity to get out and reach the public. Next year we need to work on this early and supply the examiners with the tools they need. * Flotillas are starting to prepare for the upcoming boat shows. These don't start till January but early preparation for them is what makes the events come off smooth. * The Division nominating committee turned in their report. The nominees are Eileen Christensen for DCP and Rodney Short for VCP, if elected they will make an excellent team to lead the Division. End of Report. Subscribe to the 1SR Mailing List
