Jonas Yang, GRU-MOR-Operations BMCM Thomas Botzenhart, Officer In Charge Station Jones Beach BMC. Auxiliary District (1-SR) Gail Venezio, Rear Commodore, SECTOR-NY-N, Richard Mullare, Rear Commodore, GRU-MOR Dante Laurino, DDO-Member Services Auxiliary District (1-SR) The afternoon began with a very nice cocktail hour and an opportunity to meet and greet some folks that we do not see on a regular basis. A time to make new friends, to renew old acquaintances; it is also a time to see wives and significant others who are not members. If our membership did not have this support at home our abilities would indeed be very limited. The Change of Watch is also an opportunity to show appreciation to those who support us to carry out these missions. Thank you, from those of us who wear, “The Uniform Proudly,” for all of your forgiveness for our time away and your endless support. Music from the band called us to the dining room the celebration is underway, making way. There seems to be an outbreak of dancing and people are actually making dance contact. As the band continues more and more folks are making their way to the dance floor. The band is all smiles and the music keeps the partygoers on the floor. Luncheon is announced and the award ceremonies are about to commence. Hal Gold, (13-06) our perennial Master of Ceremonies calls Hal Marschall, DCP-13 to the podium and Mr. Gold asks all to rise to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and the Change of Watch has officially started. Hal Marschall introduces our honored guests and the award ceremonies began interspersed with serving the many courses of the luncheon. The following photographs and captions tell the complete story of the days recognition and appreciation of all of those who do so much to make our programs successful.
